A former Saurashtra athlete Ambapratasinh Jadeja dies of Covid-19 infection.
The former Saurashtra cricketer Ambapratasinhji Jadeja died of Covid-19 illness on Tuesday, the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) stated. He was 69.
“The death of Shri Ambapratapsinhji Jadeja deeply saddens everyone at Saurashtra Cricket Association. He passed away today early morning at Valsad fighting a hard battle against Covid-19,” the SCA stated in a press announcement.
Originating from Jamnagar, Jadeja was a well-known right-arm medium pacer and a right-handed batsman. He played eight Ranji Trophy matches representing Saurashtra. He retired as a DSP, Gujarat Police.
In a message of condolences from the former BCCI Secretary, Niranjan Shah said, “Ambapratapsinhji was an outstanding player. I’ve had great playing cricket moments together. Let his soul rest in the protection of the Lord of all.”
