Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, said on Friday that the CBI is “being exploited” by the government to repress the opposition leaders. On Thursday, the CBI searched Sisodia’s home concerning the Excise Policy case. In addition, Sisodia said that he and his family gave the CBI their full cooperation during today’s searches at his home.
Sisodia stated in a statement to the media after the CBI agents had left his home after a 14-hour raid, “CBI team arrived this morning. My computer and phone were taken when they searched my home. My family helped them out and will do so in the future. We have not committed any wrongdoing or corruption. We’re not scared. The abuse of CBI is well known.
In conjunction with a case involving the state’s excise policy, the central investigation agency conducted searches at many places. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader’s home was visited by the CBI earlier in the day. The agency claims that 30 other facilities were the target of raids.

Sisodia was one of 15 people eventually arrested as part of a CBI-filed FIR. Excise officers, executives from alcohol companies, dealers, unidentified governmental officials, and private citizens have all been arrested in the case.
According to the FIR, the accused committed offenses under section 120-B, section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act of 1988, and section 477A of the IPC.
Arava Gopi Krishna and Anand Tiwari’s homes, who were the Excise Commissioners at the time, were among the places searched. Anurag Thakur, a Union Minister, attacked Kejriwal and Sisodia after the searches for allegedly engaging in “liquor corruption.”
“A corrupt individual will continue to be corrupt despite his best efforts to show his innocence. The AAP has engaged in corruption before. According to Thakur, Delhi’s liquor outlets have been very corrupt.
The Union Minister said that the withdrawal of Delhi’s alcohol policy coincided with the CBI probe into it being launched. “Why was the liquor policy removed if there was no fraud involved?” Thakur enquired.
Sanjay Singh, the leader of the AAP, emphasized that the searches on the deputy chief minister of Delhi were an effort to halt the Kejriwal-led Delhi government’s “revolutionary work done in the education and health sector.”
