Congress Slammed Mamata Banerjee For

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been under fire from the West Bengal Congress for excluding Jawaharlal Nehru from her Twitter display photo, which depicts notable liberation warriors but not India’s first Prime Minister.

Bengal Congress shared a message from a guy whose daughter had drawn Jawaharlal Nehru’s speech, “Tryst with Destiny,” on Twitter.

Abhishek Banerjee, a Twitter user, stated, “My daughter chose to recollect some basic history lesson by illustrating the scene of first independence day!”

The All India Trinamool Congress and Mamata Banerjee’s Twitter accounts were mentioned in a tweet by the Congress on August 14 that retweeted the previous message “A little child teaches @MamataOfficial @AITCofficial about history. Considering that they did it on purpose to appease their political overlords by leaving Jawaharlal Nehru out of their independence day DP.”

The West Bengal Chief Minister’s display picture has drawn criticism after a user tweeted, “@AITCofficial & @MamataOfficial u can purposefully omit #JawaharlalNehru from ur #IndpendenceDay 2 please ur master @narendramodi, but u cant him from the history, so my daughter chose to remind some basic history lesson by drawing the moment of first independence day.”

A commotion was caused in the southern state of Karnataka after Jawaharlal Nehru’s name was left off of a list of freedom fighters included in an Independence Day advertising that highlighted the contributions of different freedom fighters to the Indian Independence struggle.

Basavaraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, was questioned by Congress leader Siddaramaiah over the exclusion.

Siddaramaiah strongly objected to Jawaharlal Nehru’s picture being removed from the advertising in a series of tweets. Additionally, he wanted an apology from the chief minister of Karnataka.

“It is unacceptable to disparage independence warrior Jawaharlal Nehru in a commercial funded by taxes paid by ordinary people. The state’s citizens deserve an apology from the chief minister for disrespecting Nehru, “Siddaramaiah remarked.

The state government provided the media with advertising featuring famous liberation warriors as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

The Congress leader said that the omission of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru from the government advertisement’s list of independence heroes “shows how low a CM can go to preserve his chair.”

Siddaramaiah strongly objected to Jawaharlal Nehru’s picture being removed from the advertising in a series of tweets.

“Keep in mind that Nehru participated in the independence movement and was incarcerated for nine years of his life. He wasn’t a coward who begged British authorities to let him out of prison like your Savarkar. Nehru, who resisted RSS communal politics, outlawed it after Gandhi was assassinated, and devoted his life to upholding secularism, is the antithesis of RSS. But, Mr. Bommai, what is wrong with you?” requested Siddaramaiah.

“The only person you were allowed to include in the state government commercial about the independence fight of your family was Savarkar, who pleaded with the British for his release from prison. Bommai, why did you remove the photograph of RSS founder Hedgewar who was imprisoned twice (1921 and 1931) for participating in the liberation struggle? Are they concerned that their actual identity would be revealed since they do not support the tricolor flag? “the head of Congress enquired.

“VD Savarkar was freed from prison after appealing to the British for mercy. However, Baba Saheb, who struggled for independence by standing out for underrepresented groups, is seated in the bottom row. “Speaking further, he mentioned the government advertising.

In a list of 10 national liberation heroes and 10 Karnataka-born independence fighters, the Karnataka government advertising includes Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Veer Savarkar.
