Tejasvi Surya

Tejasvi Surya, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said that Lord Hanuman was born on Anjanadri hill in Karnataka on Sunday.

Surya, who represents Bengaluru South, remarks while speaking with reporters after visiting Anjanadri temple as part of the BJP’s Bharat Darshan Yatra.

That hill near Anegondi in Vijayanagar district in Karnataka is where Lord Hanuman was born, and there should be no doubt about that, he said.

“It doesn’t matter what other people say. There is no doubt that Hanuman was born in our Kishkinda “He said this in response to claims made by the Tirumala Tirupathy Devasthanams (TTD) that the birthplace of Lord Hanuman was Anjanadri hill in Tirumala, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, as the place where Hanuman was born there.

At the end of the yatra, many places have been found that have a connection to the timeline of the Hindu holy book Ramayana. Many people in India believe in traditions and can’t forget these.

Valmiki, the author of the Ramayana, wrote that the place where Rama was born is very close to the region in Karnataka where he lived. This is proof, he said.

The Karnataka government has set aside Rs 100 crore for the full development of the Anjanadri hill.
