US President Joe Biden says

US President Joe Biden says, “Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin is a murderous dictator, a pure thug.”

WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden has dubbed Russian President Vladimir Putin a “pure thug” and a “murderous dictator,” in the latest salvo directed at the latter amid Russia’s military incursion in Ukraine.

On St. Patrick’s Day, Biden claimed Putin is “a ruthless tyrant, a pure thug who is waging an unjust war against the people of Ukraine” at the annual Friends of Ireland Luncheon on Capitol Hill.

“Putin’s savagery and what he and his men are doing in Ukraine is terrible,” the President said earlier in a meeting with Ireland’s Taoiseach, Micheál Martin.

Biden made these remarks on the same day that he dubbed Putin a “war criminal,” signaling a significant shift in his tone against Putin’s conduct in Ukraine.

Biden also laid out new American military assistance to Ukraine on Wednesday, hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s emotional address to Congress.

It includes weapons and drones and anti-aircraft and anti-armor systems but stopped short of some of Zelenskyy’s requests, such as implementing a no-fly zone.

At the luncheon, Biden praised lawmakers for working across party lines to enact the aid package, part of the President’s enormous spending bill this week. “We should have more instances like today where Democrats and Republicans join together,” he remarked.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, told reporters that Biden’s statements were “totally wrong and irresponsible.” The statements of US President Joe Biden, who dubbed Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal,” are “inadmissible and inexcusable” in Moscow, according to Peskov.

Peskov also claimed that US bombs had killed hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. According to RT, Biden’s remarks, in which he dubbed Putin, a “war criminal,” are “totally impermissible, unacceptable, and awful,” according to Peskov.

“Our President is a very clever, far-sighted, and cultured worldwide figure and the President of the Russian Federation,” Peskov said in response to why Putin does not respond to Trump.

According to Peskov, Moscow cannot consider the International Court of Justice’s judgment, which required an immediate halt to the special military operation in Ukraine.

However, he also stated that the Russian and Ukrainian representatives would continue to negotiate.

“Our delegation, led by (Vladimir) Medinsky and including experts and key departments, is ready to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and it has demonstrated this willingness.

But, sadly, we do not see the same zeal from the Ukrainian side, “Peskov continued.
