This quest has more steps than usual, so let’s get started on activating the Holotable and setting up a generator in Fortnite Chapter 2.

The opening objective asks you to “Establish Device Uplink close to Command Cavern.”
The location of this hologram audio log may be a little unusual. However, it can be found outside at the Command Cavern’s southeastern edge, near the wind tunnel.

- After you touch the hologram audio log, you will receive the first of your future objectives: “Set up a generator near the Holotable within Command Cavern.”
- Head towards the dug-out area at the mountain’s north entrance.
- Continue straight, then turn left at the intersection. You will come to a door that you can’t open.
- You’ll need to access the vent from the hatch, just as you did with the control panels. This is a clever way to bypass the locked door.
- Continue along the path until you reach the AC vent. Then, take the first hatch to the left. The AC vent will open onto a walkway with some stairs on the right.
- Follow the staircase down to find a spot near the square-shaped table.
- To set up the generator, walk up to it by pressing the button on the screen.
- Once this is done, your objective will be to “Insert Control keys into the Holotable within Command Cavern.”
- Two bright spots will appear at the top of the table. These bright spots will be your companions in the quest.
- After they have been inserted, the final objective is to activate the Holotable within Command Cavern.
- The quest is as easy as walking up to the table and holding the button on the screen.
