13 girls and women are dead

Thirteen people, including women and children, perished when they fell into a well while celebrating weddings in a village within the Kushinagar district of the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh the night before.

According to the present officials, children and women attending the wedding were sitting on a slab that covered the old water source.

The slab fell under the weight, and the guests sitting on it were thrown to the bottom of the.

They were taken to the hospital, where 13 patients were declared dead.

Two victims have sustained severe injuries as a result of the incident.

The hospital’s images included relatives in their wedding gowns, mourning the loss of loved ones during the tragic incident.

District Magistrate S Rajalingam told the media, “We have received information that eleven people have died and two others were seriously injured when they fell into a water source. The incident occurred during weddings, where guests were seated on a slab in the well. Due to massive weight, the slab fell.”

In the following days, while speaking to the news agencies ANI, Akhil Kumar, ADG, Gorakhpur zone, confirmed that the death toll had risen to 13.

“The incident happened on the night of 8.30 at night at Nebula Naurangia, Kushinagar, at a wedding celebration, in which a few guests were sitting on a stone slab which was covering the well. The slab cracked under the weight of the guests,” Mr. Kumar stated.

The district magistrate announced that 4 lakh rupees would be given to the family of every person killed during the incident.

Prime Secretary Narendra Modi described the incident as “heart-rending” Modi offered condolences and prayed for a speedy recovery of those injured.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolences for the tragic incident.

The official Twitter handle for Yogi Adityanath’s Office for the Chief Minister’s Office tweeted that Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to carry out urgent rescue and relief operations and ensure proper care for those injured.

A further investigation to determine the cause of this incident has been ongoing.
