The 25-year-old flew back from City’s pre-season tour of the United States to finalize the transfer after Arsenal agreed to a £30 million deal with £2 million in add-ons.
He is the London club’s seventh summer acquisition and has a long-term deal with them.
I was a considerable admirer when I was a youngster, so this is a boyhood dream come true, said Zinchenko.
“I was simply loved watching those games since Thierry Henry and a young Cesc Fabregas were playing for that Arsenal. Naturally, I grew to adore this club, therefore I am overjoyed and unable to wait to play for this wonderful organization.”

A desire and craving for titles
Zinchenko, who plays mainly in the middle for his nation, mostly played left back for the Blues last season as Pep Guardiola’s team defended its Premier League crown. However, he only appeared on 15 occasions.
He claims to have discussed his position with Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, but he would want to keep the specifics “secret.” He continues, “If the manager tells me one day I need to be goalie, I will be there.”
When the Arsenal manager was a member of the coaching staff at Manchester City, Zinchenko worked with Arteta, and he claims the interaction was “the most significant factor” in his choice to join.
Zinchenko said, “I thought he was going to be a very excellent manager from the first day at City.
“I’m here to make a significant impact, and I hope we can win some championships. I also hope we’ll compete for each title we participate in.
“I was watching Arsenal games even throughout the previous season, and I could already smell it coming. The squad is maturing so swiftly, therefore I believe the moment has come. It’s time to work hard and accomplish something significant.”
This summer, Zinchenko is the second player to go from City to the Emirates.
Gabriel Jesus, a striker from Brazil, just signed with Arsenal for £45 million.
Zinchenko, according to technical director Edu, was a “major emphasis” in their hiring process, and he supported the newcomer to support the team in reaching a “different level.”
Supervisor Arteta added: “Alex is a top-notch talent who will provide us diversity and choices.
“I have a close personal relationship with him and have kept up with him even after leaving Manchester City.
“His flexibility in both offense and defense is just as important as the positions he can play.
