Sonu Nigam to Shreya Ghoshal, the Music Industry Mourns KK's Sudden Death

Following the death of famous playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, commonly known as KK, many luminaries from the Indian music business expressed sincere respect for him.

Sonu Nigam, a popular musician and Padma Shri laureate, remarked on Instagram, “KK mere Bhai, not done.” Notably, both KK and Sonu Nigam sang the iconic Bollywood song “Mehki Hawaon Mein.”

Shreya Ghoshal, a four-time National Film Award winner, said on Twitter, “I’m having trouble processing this information. Numb. #KK Why! This is much too difficult to comprehend! The heart has been crushed into a million pieces.”

Vishal Dadlani, a well-known singer, songwriter, music composer, and the lead singer of one of India’s most popular rock bands, Pentagram, expressed his sorrow over the occurrence.

After his death, Mohit Chauhan, a well-known singer, expressed sincere condolences to KK. He said on Twitter, “KK… you’re not being fair. It’s not the right moment for you to go. This was the last time we were in the same room to announce a tour. How are you able to leave??? I’m stunned in anguish. A brother has passed away, dear buddy. KK, rest in peace. I adore you.”

On Tuesday evening, singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, commonly known as KK, died. While playing at an event in Kolkata, the singer became unwell and was taken to the CMRI hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

He was just 54 years old when he died. KK has recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali, making him one of the most versatile vocalists in the Indian cinema business.

He is most known for songs such as “Zindagi Do Pal Ki” from Kites, “Aankhon Mein Teri” from Om Shanti Om, and “Khuda Jaane” from Bachna Ae Haseeno, and “Tadap Tadap” from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, to name a few.
