covid-19-wave-starts-in-june-july-lasts-through-sept-says-karnataka-health-minister

K Sudhakar, Karnataka’s health minister, said Thursday that the fourth wave of the Covid-19 will start in June or July and last until September, according to IANS. His administration is ready to deal with any lock, he said.

Covid-related policies have been well-received by the government, and the minister said that there’s no need to worry right now. He didn’t rule out the fourth wave of Covid-19.

Eight countries have the new XE variant of Covid-19, and people from that country are being screened, the man said.

What is being done in Karnataka to stop the spread of disease?

Sudhakar said that the mask is still very important in the state, and there will be no changes to Coivd protocols.

There are eight countries where the new XE variant of Covid-19 is most common. People coming from that country are being screened correctly, said Sudhakar.

K Sudhakar talks about how children get vaccinated.

More than 5,000 children who aren’t yet old enough to get the vaccine will be told that.

India has made progress in getting kids vaccinated. Sudhakar pointed out that many vaccines given to kids before came to India a long time after they were available in other parts of the world.

“When we fight the pandemic together, I don’t want to get into politics. People need to know this. During the last 70 years, when other parties were in charge, vaccines didn’t come to India as quickly as the rest of the world.”

In 1985, the Hepatitis B vaccine was made available to people worldwide. In 2005, the vaccine was made available to people in India for the first time, though. It took 20-25 years for BCG to be completed and 45 years for the Japanese Encephalitis vaccine.

Today, ten vaccines have been approved and are available in India. It is a proud thing that one of them, the Covaxin vaccine made by Bharat Biotech, is made in India.

In addition, Sudhakar said, there is the Zydus Cadila vaccine, which is the world’s first DNA vaccine. The Covishield vaccine was made by the Pune-based Serum Institute of India with help from Oxford University and AstraZeneca.

He said that in the state of Karnataka, 10.54 million vaccines are given. The second dose of the vaccine has been taken by 98% of the people. Another 32 million people haven’t taken the second dose yet. He told people to take the second dose as soon as possible and the first dose to be safe.
