Mass shooting in Cincinnati leaves 9 wounded

Police are looking for at least two suspects after a mass shooting left nine people injured early on Sunday morning in downtown Cincinnati.

According to Lt. Colonel Mike John of the Cincinnati Police Department, police were sent to Main Street in the city’s heart to deal with allegations of a rowdy gathering.

As police were removing people from the area, two groups began fighting. According to John, at least two combatants drew weapons and started shooting into the crowd.

One of the shooters was hit by a police shot before fleeing the area. Then, according to John, a second unnamed suspect continued to fire.

Eight males and one woman, ages 23 to 47 in all, suffered non-life-threatening wounds. Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to contact the police, according to the police.
