Shahid Afridi, in thanking fans for birthday wishes on March 1 (Monday), has brought up the most controversial part of his career: his age. He turned 44, according to his birthday tweet, but this age contradicts previous claims.
“Thank you so much for all the beautiful birthday wishes – 44 today! My family and my fans are my greatest assets, ”Afridi said on Monday.
Thank you so much for all the lovely birthday wishes – 44 today! My family and my fans are my greatest assets. I really enjoy my time at Multan and look forward to producing match-winning performances for all MS fans.

According to the official records of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Afridi’s age is 41 years old. In 2019, Afridi revealed in his autobiography that he was born in 1975 and not 1980 according to official records, which would make him 46 now. However, Afridi had created further confusion by stating in her book that she was 19 years old in 1996.
“Plus, for the record, I was only nineteen (when he hit the whirlwind of the 37-ball century, the fastest ODI third century), and not sixteen as they say. I was born in 1975. So, yes, the authorities declared my age incorrectly, ”Afridi was quoted as writing in her book.
